New homes

The emergence of a new neighbourhood has brought with it the construction of new homes, with a total of 2,220 planned, of which 525 are subsidised housing. Many of them are already inhabited and others are still under construction. Some of these homes were aimed at relocating the residents of the buildings in the area that were demolished in the urban regeneration process, which included eliminating the problem of substandard housing suffered by this neighbourhood of Barakaldo. The blocks were built around the Plaza de Desierto, Lasesarre and in Galindo Norte, on the other side of the new Avenida de Altos Hornos (BI-3739).
